A first-year undergraduate student settles into his new routine.
“When I graduated secondary school, my friends and I joked that we’d just completed life’s ‘tutorial.’
As we settled into our new routines at University, we adjusted to a world of newfound flexibility and independence. It was liberating but also isolating. There were no curfews to follow, no more assigned times for homework, and no one knocking on your door if you slept in too long. The only rules were the ones we created for ourselves, and that freedom came with the weight of responsibility, where every decision carries the potential to shape who you become. In those months, one question kept resurfacing: What now?
I made this film to capture this feeling: the tension between the exhileration of possibility and the underlying anxiety that comes with it.
